You might remember me mentioning that Lucas my next door neighbor. He’s a young guy, Australian, very straight with a live-in girlfriend and an eye for the ladies. It was his wandering eyes that got him into hot water with his girl.
I could hear her screaming at him even with my TV on. The front door slamming ended the altercation. I expected to hear the sound of tires squealing as Lucas drove off but I was wrong.
Instead there was a knock at my door. I answered it to find Lucas standing on my porch–it was already late–a pillow and blanket in hand. Seducing sleeping guys is what I live for, but I’m careful and always make sure the guy’s not going to remember what happened by making sure he’s very drunk.
So here was Lucas, stone cold sober on my porch, upset from the argument. He asks if he can use my guest house for the night and I ask him why, pretending ignorance of the fight half the neighborhood must have heard. He explains and says he needs somewhere to crash.
I invite him in, offer him some beer, which he accepts eagerly, and then ask him what happened. He tells me the story. He’s pissed because he doesn’t see any harm in looking at other girls, but of course his girlfriend does. Eight beers and a movie later, Lucas is lit, and a lot calmer. He heads back to my guest house and I go for my camera eager for a to film this young tattooed Aussie guy.
Good man
