I met straight as an arrow Kevin at the same store where I met Brian, who I’d gone to try find. He wasn’t there, but I spotted another guy who looked like a construction worker.
You can always tell by the kind of dirt they have on their clothes. Turns out Kevin was working at the same place, as chatting with him a few seconds revealed. He’s young too, 21, with curly blond hair like some Greek god, and a smile that could light up the darkest room.
He told me I’d just missed Brian, he’d gotten a ride home from some girl. Damn so close. But… there was Kevin to consider. Telling him that Brian had left some stuff at my place–his construction ID and some other stuff–revealed that Kevin and Brian were friends.
He grinned as he realized who I was the second I mentioned the ID. Brian had told him that my TV set up was amazing, and that we’d hung out together.
This gave me the opening I needed so I invited Kevin over. Kevin agreed, but said he wanted to go home first. I gave him my address and he said he’d be by around 7pm with cold beers.
Since it was Friday night he said could stay late and we could watch a few games on the TV, which sounded just fine to me, especially when I noticed the package he had under his dirty jeans. Game on!
Good man
