He immediately offers to help me get the tire off. Now I’m not helpless when it comes to cars, but that damn tire would no come loose. Not until Jason–that’s his name–shows me this trick of tapping the tire iron with a mallet which he got from the truck of his car.
What had already taken me an unsuccessful half hour of cussing, took him less than five minutes to resolve. When a guy does something for you like that, you just have to offer to make it up some how. I invited him over for beer, pizza and some TV.
At first he refused, but then I played my hold card and mentioned the sports package, oh and the porn pay-per-view I could order. That did it. He took my phone number and address down on a piece of scrap paper and said he’d call me later. True to his word, Jason called and came over.
